My name is Allison McGrath and I’m a UX researcher with a background in sociology who’s passionate about applying principles of behavioral science to real world issues. I have over 10 years of experience with a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies including experimental design, behavioral analysis, surveys, focus groups, usability testing, as well as digital and predictive analytics. Broadly speaking, I’m interested in issues related to gender, feminism, social movements, mass media, as well as cultural attitudes and beliefs.

I received my Ph.D. in Sociology from Vanderbilt University. I currently work as a UX researcher at Facebook as part of their News Team. Prior to joining Facebook, I worked at Power to Decide, a reproductive rights non-profit committed to ensuring reasonable access to birth control for all young people across the country.

Outside of work, I’m a big fan of exploring new cities, testing the latest recipes in my kitchen, spinning at my favorite studio, hanging with my cats, and consuming all things related to news and politics.
